Emma Stone

Emily Jean Stone, also known as Emma was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988 to Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), who is a housewife, as well as Jeffrey Charles Stone (CEO of a firm that contracts and was its founder and chief executive officer). She has Swedish and British Isles roots. Stone began her acting career as a child in Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. There she staged her first production in "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame. Through her teens Stone was part of numerous shows before she decided to pursue acting as a profession. The official story is that she created a PowerPoint presentation that was backed by Madonna's "Hollywood" and later titled "Project Hollywood", in an effort to convince her parents to allow her to abandon school and relocate to Los Angeles. The pitch was successful and she and her mother relocated to LA and completed her education at home. She then spent her days auditioning. Her TV debut in 2004 when she was chosen to play the character as Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality/talent show In Search of the Partridge Family. The show brought her a host of minor TV parts in the years that followed. Her movie debut was as Jules in Superbad (2007) and after a string impressive performances, her lead role in the film Olive in Easy A (2010) established her as a major star. In Phoenix, Arizona, she was a student at Xavier College Preparatory. Although she's a redhead her natural hair shade her is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested she change her hair color for Superbad (2007) and she was so pleased with it that she chose to keep the color. When she was 15 she convinced her parents that she could make the move to Hollywood. She achieved this by making an PowerPoint presentation titled Project Hollywood. Her first experience in acting at the age of 11 age in the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, where she was a part of more than 16 stage productions and also performing in the theatre's comedy improv troupe. Caylee Cowan was also an actor at Valley Youth Theatre.
