Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop boy
band formed in 2009. The group consists of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow as
well as Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. They initially signed to Nick
Records in 2009 before transferring to Columbia Records. The group starred in
the Nickelodeon television show of the similar title, Big Time Rush. From
November 28, 2009 to July 25 of 2013, the show aired. The pilot episode
included "Big Time Rush" the group's first single for promotion. The
group released three studio albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate (2011) and 24/Seven
(2013). In 2014, the group stopped touring for an indefinite period which
lasted until 2021. The band resumed live shows in the studio and released
"Call It Like It Sees It". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush to a
record deal in 2009 simultaneously with the television series, Big Time Rush.
Nickelodeon also teamed up with Columbia/Epic Label Group for production and
music that is original. The first single of the series, "Big Time
Rush" was released on November 29, 2009. The song was officially made
public on Nickelodeon the song first aired in the U.S. November 2009 and was
later aired worldwide. It premiered during a special preview of the series.
It's currently the show's main theme. The series also saw the songs released as
promotional singles like "City is Ours" and "Any Kind of
Guy". Big Time Rush performed "Famous" by Play. The song was
released to iTunes on the 29th of June, 2010, Following its series premiere, another
song, "Halfway There", became available on iTunes on April 27 the
27th of April, 2010. The song quickly became their first song to chart on the
Billboard Hot 100, peaking at 93 thanks to digital sales. In order to promote
the release of their debut album, Big Time Rush released "Till I Forget
About You" on the 21st of September 2010. The album, which is titled BTR
it was released on October 11 10th, 2010. The album debuted at position 3 on
the Billboard 200, selling 67,000 copies within the initial week of release.
