Annie Wersching Bio

Annie Wersching (born March 28 1977) is an American actress best known for her performance as Renee Walker in the American television series 24 and also for her voice work and motion capture for the character Tess in Naughty Dog's video game The Last of Us. Wersching was raised in St. Louis. She went to the high school of Crossroads College Preparatory School in the Central West End of St. Louis where she graduated in 1995. In her early years she took part in Irish dance and was part of the St. Louis Celtic Stepdancers. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre from Millikin University, graduating in 1999. Wersching's acting journey began with the role of a guest in Star Trek: Enterprise. Then, Wersching was invited to appear on guest shows such as Charmed and Killer Instinct. From March 2007 until November 2007, she was in the role of Amelia Joffe on ABC Daytime's soap drama General Hospital. She has also performed in theatres such as Victory Gardens, Marriott Lincolnshire and the Utah Shakespearean Festival.Wersching played FBI Special Agent Renee Walker in the seventh and eighth seasons of 24.After her two-season time in 24, Wersching played guest roles on a variety of shows which included CSI, NCIS, Rizzoli and Isles, Hawaii Five-0, Body of Proof, Dallas, Revolution, Castle, Blue Bloods, The Vampire Diaries and Touch (which also features her 24 co-star Kiefer Sutherland). 2014 saw her becoming a regular series regular for Bosch, an Amazon Prime crime drama Bosch. Wersching was the catcher of the National League in the 2009 Taco Bell All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game.In December 2012, it was revealed that in the PlayStation 3 exclusive The Last of Us Wersching was the voice actor and mocap of the character Tess. Her character was teased on Geoff Keighley's Twitter page before she was made public in the story trailer seen on the Spike Video Game Awards on December 7, 2012.In September 2021, it was announced that Wersching will play the Borg Queen in the second season of Star Trek: Picard.
